The Ask
The Squirrels of WJ is a skateboarding collective in Eugene, OR. The collective was formed in order to provide a community and networking platform for women skateboarders.
It started with a group chat between a few skaters craving support. An Instagram was created to engage with curious soon-to-be skaters and the Squirrels of WJ was born.

The Squirrels of WJ have received support from brands like Skate Like a Girl, Tactics, and the Eugene Weekly. Their presence led to Eugene’s local skateboard shop hiring 3 women to staff in the past year.
